Labor Day Picnic

Talk Back

Labor Day, September 1!

Don't forget to mark your calendar for the annual Maui County Baptist Association Picnic. Our friends from Baptist churches around the county will gather with us at Hulopo'e Beach Park at 11:00 a.m. for awesome food and fellowship.

Have you ever been in the middle of the sermon and wanted to raise your hand and ask a question? Have you ever been distracted in the middle of the sermon and realized you missed the last few minutes and wished you could push "rewind." Have you ever heard the pastor and wondered, What in the world is he talking about? Would you like him to explain something a little more clearly for you. "Talk Back" is a new format at LBC where you can ask questions, call for clarification, and even push "rewind."

What is it?

A forum with the pastor to ask questions, pursue other ideas, nail down personal applications, and talk back to the pastor with your comments. It's a chance for us to probe deeper into the sermon passage and really dig into God's Word.

When is it?

Every Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.

How can I push rewind?

Click on OceanSide Café each week and listen to Sunday's sermon.

Women's Ministry

6:48 (Men's Group)

For Women Only

What's going on in a man's mind? From their early days, every woman has struggled to understand why males behave the way they do.  Even long-married women who think they understand men have only scratched the surface. Beneath a man's rugged exterior is an even more rugged, unmapped terrain. What bestselling author Shaunti Feldhahn's research reveals about the inner lives of men will open women's eyes to what the men in their life - boyfriends, brothers, husbands, and sons - are really thinking and feeling. Men want to be understood, but they're afraid to 'freak out' the women they love by confessing what is happening inside their heads. This book will guide women in how to provide the loving support that modern men want and need.

Join other women from the community each Wednesday for conversations about this book. Two groups have formed: 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.

1 John

Live in the Light

John's first epistle was written to a group of Christ-followers who lived in a dark and corrupt world. His challenge to them is to live in the Light. What an appropriate message for modern men. The darkness of the world surrounds us and sometimes inhibits us. Yet, Christ has called us to be the light of the world. Join us each week to discover how you can live in the light.

NOTE: We have changed our meeting day and time to Wednesday evenings at 6:48 p.m.
